Holbrook and Tanner have a close relationship. I never thought
Tanner would "fire" him. Always felt Holbrook would do what was best for the team. Stand up guy, good recruiter, but had some head scratching in game decisions from time to time. Their pitching has always been good especially with Jerry Meyers as their pitching coach. Hitting is another story. They lost 8 straight series but were never swept which means they were a good team that just could not close out on 1 run ballgames. Obviously the injuries to Schmidt and Johnson hindered their chances of making the tourney this year. [Post edited by VTMONEY94 at 06/07/2017 07:34AM]
